High-end PC Build | 2024 Q4

This page contains some high-end PC build recommendations for Q4 2024.

If you're looking to build a high-end PC in late 2024, you should check out the following builds.

High-end AMD / NVIDIA Build

This build contains an AMD processor along with an NVIDIA GPU. The Radeon GPUs tend to get better raw performance per dollar, while NVIDIA GPUs tend to have more advanced features like DLSS, DLAA, DLDSR, CUDA, and others. However, the undisputed king of GPUs, as of late 2024, is the GeForce RTX 4090. For a top-of-the-line build, this is what all PC builders should go with.

On the CPU side, the socket AM5 platform is the latest available from AMD in late 2024. This includes the 7000, 8000, and 9000 series AMD Ryzen CPUs. The gaming champion CPU is the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D which is out as of November 7th, 2024. With the extra AMD 3D V-Cache, this is sure to top the performance charts for gaming PC builders.

High-end AMD System

If you're interested in sticking with an AMD Radeon GPU, check out this build instead. The top-end AMD Radeon GPU is quite a bit less expensive than the GeForce RTX 4090. Even though the performance won't compare, you'll save a lot on your high-end PC build.

The Radeon 7900XTX gets around 70% of the performance of the GeForce RTX 4090, while costing a whopping 50% less. If you're looking for the highest gaming performance, without paying the huge premium demanded by the RTX 4090, then the 7900XTX is the best GPU for your build.
